In the shadow-draped era of feudal Japan, the serene village of Hazakura stood nestled among whispering bamboo groves, a bastion of peace until the night the sky turned as red as blood. On that fateful evening, the dreaded Oni Clan, guided by the malevolent sorcerer Kurokiba, descended like a maelstrom, abducting the villagers to harvest their spirits for unspeakable rituals. Amidst the chaos, a lone samurai, known only as Ayame, returned from her pilgrimage to find her home aflame and her people vanquished. Swearing an oath upon her ancestors' blades, she donned her midnight garb, vowing to dismantle the Oni Clan, rescue the captured souls of Hazakura, and unravel the dark ambitions of the sinister Kurokiba.
